Global interactive entertainment brand HoYoverse announced today that it will release Version 7 of its open world adventure RPG, 'Genshin Impact,' titled 'The Snowy Land Unloved by Gods,' on August 12.

This update introduces Snezhnaya, the seventh nation of Teyvat, where players will board a train to explore a vast, frozen wilderness dominated by extreme cold.

The new Archon Mission will delve into the complex relationships between Snezhnaya's factions and the rising conflicts beneath the surface, while new characters 'Odette' and 'Alyosha' join the roster as playable characters.

Located in the north of Teyvat, Snezhnaya is a nation ruled by endless cold and blizzards, with cities and villages connected by Kresnik energy and railways. Players will encounter the landscapes and stories of this snowy land as they explore Snezhnaya City, ice fields roamed by ancient beasts, remote villages guarded by frost sprites, and snow-covered settlements.

The latest Archon Mission features a story involving a catastrophic blizzard, an energy crisis, and the forces hiding in the shadows; completing the mission grants up to 560 Primogems.

A 'Snezhnaya Adventure Note' has also been added to assist with open world exploration, allowing players to track progress and access destinations and rewards more quickly for a more convenient experience.

Upon entering Snezhnaya, players can obtain the 'Ashen Eye,' a tool used to protect against the extreme cold, summon the train, and solve puzzles.

Additionally, a new third-person shooting mode has been introduced, requiring players to employ tactics suited to various battlefields. Players can expand their arsenal by acquiring three new firearms and weapon parts found throughout Snezhnaya.

Following 'Stellar Superconduct,' a second 'Starlight Reaction' called 'Stellar Diffusion' has been added. When Anemo and Cryo elements come into contact, a starlight gust is triggered, with repeated activations increasing the power of the final explosion.

Furthermore, 'Stellar Diffusion' significantly increases jump height, while 'Stellar Superconduct' allows for special interactions with objects, making them useful for both combat and open world exploration.

The new 5-star Cryo sword character 'Odette' appears as a famous ballerina from Snezhnaya and a member of the Fatui under Signora. Odette is characterized by her ability to convert Superconduct and Cryo Swirl reactions into 'Star Superconduct' and 'Star Swirl' reactions, respectively, while boosting the Starlight reaction damage of the entire party.

The new character 'Alyosha' is a hunter of the snowy plains who fights alongside his loyal dog, Tugarin. He is a 4-star Electro Polearm character who provides a Stellar Superconduct damage bonus to the party and can heal nearby party members. He can be invited to the party for free by progressing through the new Archon Mission.

The first half of the event banners will feature the debut of 'Odette' and 'Alyosha' alongside a rerun of 'Arlecchino,' while 'Flint' and 'Inepa' will return in the second half. Additionally, limited-time events set in Snezhnaya will be held, including high-speed train races, shooting competitions, domain challenges, and frost sprite escorts.

Players can invite 'Diona' to their party for free upon meeting certain conditions, and in the Starry Sea world, new events themed around summer ghost stories and adventures will offer various rewards, including headpieces. More details can be found on the official cafe.
