Details have been revealed for 'Curse of the Allflame,' the new league for Path of Exile, which is currently serviced in Korea by Kakao Games.
Path of Exile is a PC online hack-and-slash action RPG that has been serviced in Korea by Kakao Games since 2019, following its global launch in 2013. Despite being a long-running title, it maintains steady popularity, with concurrent player counts seeing significant spikes with every expansion update.
Scheduled for release on July 25, this expansion will introduce a variety of content, including the new 'Curse of the Allflame' league, #1 the addition of the new Scion ascendancy class 'Luminary,' #2 a revamp of the socket system, and #3 the integration of the mercenary system into the core game.

The new 'Curse of the Allflame' league follows the story of players setting out with pirate captain 'Valerie' to find a legendary shipwreck buried deep in the seas of Wraeclast.
Using nautical charts acquired during their adventures, players will board Valerie's ship to explore the ocean floor. Empowered by the 'Allflame,' they must navigate the deep sea to collect lost treasures and artifacts within a limited time while defeating monsters lurking in the depths.
Players can freely arrange various exploration zones to construct their own voyages, designing unique routes that account for synergy effects between zones and additional rewards.

Along with the 'Curse of the Allflame' league, a new third Ascendancy class for the Scion, the 'Luminary,' will be introduced. The Luminary is a class that centers its combat around permanently hired mercenaries, and it is characterized by the ability to freely change the mercenaries' equipment to create diverse combat builds.
The previous league content, 'Trial of the Ancestors,' will also be added as core content. While retaining the system of recruiting mercenaries through duels, it will be further enhanced with new features such as mercenary-specific skills and a system to summon mercenaries at will.
Additionally, a major quality-of-life update will remove color restrictions from the socket system. After the update, players will be able to equip any gem regardless of socket color, with bonuses provided when a gem matches the socket's color.
To improve the gameplay experience, Abyss and Legion league content will also be revamped. The Abyss content will feature more intuitive combat mechanics and visual effects, along with new monster combat patterns. Furthermore, the Legion content will introduce a new crafting system that uses new currency to transfer the abilities of unique armor, providing rewards exclusive to that league content.
The new Path of Exile league, 'Curse of the Allflame,' is scheduled to be updated on July 25.
