IRONMACE (CEO Choi Ju-hyun) announced that its hardcore dungeon extraction online game, 'Dark and Darker,' kicked off Early Access Season 10 on the 17th (KST).

The core of 'Dark and Darker' Season 10 is a major expansion of 'The Firedeep' map, first introduced in Early Access Season 8. The update also adds a new boss, the 'Magma Wyvern,' introduces new abilities for the Wizard, Cleric, and Rogue classes, and enhances the game's immersion through improvements to the sound system. Furthermore, the addition of long-awaited new Artifact items expands the variety of combat. Notably, some of these new artifacts were selected from a community contest and implemented directly into the game, highlighting the unique bond between the developer and the community in shaping 'Dark and Darker.'

The newly expanded 'The Firedeep' features a terrain structure distinct from previous maps, offering players a diverse combat environment. Additionally, the Wyvern boss, previously exclusive to the 'Ice Abyss,' has been reimagined as the 'Magma Wyvern' to fit the theme of 'The Firedeep,' providing increased combat difficulty and tension.

The enhanced diversity of the combat system is another highlight of the Season 10 update. New skills and perks have been added for the Wizard, Cleric, and Rogue classes, along with new spells for the Wizard and Cleric, adding depth to combat. These magic-focused classes now have reinforced unique traits, allowing for a wider range of builds and combat styles. IRONMACE plans to continue with consistent, large-scale class balance updates.

In addition, the sound system has been refined. New sound transitions for near-death states and headshot sound effects have been added, increasing the realism of combat and player immersion.

To mark the start of Season 10, a 'Twitch Drops' event will run for approximately three weeks from July 18 to August 7, offering various rewards. Players can earn these rewards by linking their Twitch account in the game settings and watching 'Dark and Darker' broadcasts.

'Dark and Darker' is a game where players explore dungeons in an immersive fantasy world, battling monsters and other players to escape with loot. Since its Early Access launch in 2023, the game has reached a peak of 100k concurrent users on Steam, ranked in the top 2 on Steam's all-time wishlist (2.24 million), and as of 2026, has recorded 6.85 million cumulative users.
