JOYCITY (CEO Cho Seong-won) announced on the 1st that it will begin pre-registrations for its new online basketball game, 'FreeStyle: Reboot,' starting July 22 ahead of its official domestic launch.
'FreeStyle: Reboot' is a reboot project that inherits the legacy of the original 'FreeStyle' IP, which gained popularity in the global market.
The game retains the original's signature free-spirited street basketball vibe and the core fun of 3v3 real-time matches, while enhancing visuals through a new engine. It also features improved user accessibility and a fair, skill-based competitive environment.
Having already verified the game's high quality in the Taiwan market, JOYCITY plans to accelerate its global expansion starting with the domestic launch. Following a successful domestic rollout, the company intends to expand its service sequentially to China and other global regions.
Jeon Hyun-kyu, director of the Freestyle business division at JOYCITY, stated, "With 'Freestyle Reboot,' we will deliver the highest level of quality to our domestic users, building on the positive reception and proven fun confirmed through our service in Taiwan. Furthermore, following its domestic launch, we will demonstrate the enduring power of the 'Freestyle' IP in China and the global market."
