NEOWIZ (co-CEOs Kim Seung-chul and Bae Tae-geun) announced that its subsidiary, FOW GAMES (CEO Lee Gwang-jae), officially launched its new mobile MMORPG, 'Kingdom 2: Blazing Battlefield,' on the 5th.
The service went live at 12:00 PM on the 5th. Players can access the game via Google Play, ONE store, the Apple App Store, or through a PC client.
Kingdom 2: Blazing Battlefield' is a traditional MMORPG where players develop their characters through field hunting and engage in various cooperative and competitive content. Its most notable feature is a system that moves away from traditional class-based combat, allowing players to freely combine races and weapons.
Users can choose from three races—Human, Elf, or Belkan—and combine them with five types of weapons, including swords, greatswords, bows, staves, and spears, to create their own unique playstyle. Since each race possesses unique skills, the same weapon can lead to entirely different combat strategies depending on the chosen race.
The growth structure has also been carefully crafted. Players develop their characters using various systems such as runes, mana infusion, artifacts, and monster souls, based on materials gathered from field hunting. This is complemented by quest, achievement, and title systems, ensuring that growth keeps pace with gameplay. To reduce the burden of progression, some equipment remains intact even if enhancement fails, and players can obtain 'mana powder' from destroyed or dismantled gear to use as material for mana infusion.
Guild-based cooperative content is another core element, featuring guild housing, research, raids, quests, and festivals. In guild housing, players can construct buildings to provide stat bonuses to guild members, while guild research offers various buffs and benefits. The guild storage supports market registration and item distribution, making trading and settlements between members more convenient. In guild raids, the primary cooperative mode, members join forces to take down powerful bosses for a chance at unique items. Small-scale party dungeons are designed to provide stronger combat synergy when a party is equipped with all five weapon types, enhancing the fun of cooperative play.
High-difficulty content designed to challenge players is also available. Notable examples include World Bosses that appear at specific times and the Tower of Infinity, which tests the limits of a player's strength. Higher-difficulty content offers higher-grade rewards.
The economic structure is also tied to gameplay. Most items obtained through hunting can be freely traded between users, and players can earn 'farming diamonds' during hunting once they reach a certain level. These diamonds can be used to purchase items in the in-game shop, creating a natural link between gameplay and character growth.
To celebrate the official launch, FOW GAMES is hosting various events across the game, its official community, and its KakaoTalk channel. In-game, a 28-day 'Hero Qualification' level ranking event will be held per server, rewarding top players with Legend summon cards, Legend summon tickets, and Hero summon tickets. A launch-commemoration attendance event and daily quests are also underway.
The official Naver Cafe is hosting a 'Best Kingdom 2 Guide' event until August 17. Outstanding participants who post their own guides will be selected to receive Hero pet summon tickets and 'Dawn's 11-Summon' selection chests. Users who add the official KakaoTalk channel will receive items to aid their growth, such as Enchant Scrolls and Whetstones, distributed weekly for four weeks after launch.
A FOW GAMES representative stated, "As this is a title we have developed with great care over a long period, we expect to provide users with the deep, authentic fun of a traditional MMORPG. We have prepared a variety of events to celebrate the official launch and ask for your continued interest and participation."
