The Korean Sport & Olympic Committee (KSOC) announced that it will support the esports national team's training camp at the Jincheon National Training Center ahead of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Summer Asian Games.

This marks the first time an esports team has entered the Jincheon training facility, with the camp scheduled for three days starting July 29. The team aims to build pride as national representatives and strengthen their teamwork ahead of the Asian Games.
Following its debut as an official medal event with seven categories at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, esports has expanded to 11 categories for the upcoming 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. For this training camp, a total of 22 athletes across six titles—PUBG Mobile, Puyo Puyo Champions, eFootball, Gran Turismo 7, Pokémon UNITE, and Identity V—are participating to experience life as national team members at the athletes' village.
During the camp, the team will utilize the training center's facilities and attend a special lecture by Kim Taek-soo, head of the National Training Center, to foster a sense of national pride. They will also participate in the 'Cheer UP Stage,' a project designed to boost morale and celebrate the 50-day countdown to the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, where they will interact with athletes from other sports. Additionally, the team will engage in various programs, including collaborative training with the Korea Institute of Sport Science, anti-doping education, and autonomous practice sessions, to prepare for the Asian Games.
"I sincerely welcome the esports national team to the training center for the first time," said Kim Taek-soo, head of the National Training Center. "I hope they will perform at their best in the Asian Games, fueled by the pride of representing their country."
