'Odin: Valhalla Rising,' a MMORPG serviced by Kakao Games and developed by Lionheart Studio, climbed to the No. 1 spot on the Google Play revenue chart on the afternoon of the 10th. This marks the game reaching the top of both major app markets approximately two weeks after its 5th-anniversary update on the 24th of last month.

Following its 5th-anniversary update on the 25th of last month, 'Odin' hit No. 1 on the Apple App Store and climbed to No. 2 on Google Play. It has maintained a top-tier position on Google Play for the past two weeks and was also ranked at the top of the Google Play revenue chart during the first week of July.
The rise in rankings is attributed to a combination of large-scale, user-focused content updates and 5th-anniversary events. In the update on the 24th of last month, Kakao Games added the 'Alchemist,' the fourth advancement class for the Sorceress. The Alchemist uses reagents; when skills are used, specific colored reagents are charged, granting additional effects based on the color.
Large-scale PVP content was also added. The new 'World Base Occupation' is an inter-server feature where guild members compete against guilds from other servers to occupy bases within a dungeon. Battles take place through full-world matching, regardless of server group.
The new 'Skadi' server served as a gateway for returning and new users. Through the 29th, 'Skadi' is offering growth benefits, such as enhancement stone support missions, and providing a server-exclusive Legend Equipment set to users who reach level 20. These, combined with large-scale attendance events, growth support, and 5th-anniversary special events, have boosted user engagement.
'Odin' has maintained long-term service by achieving strong results with every major update, including re-entering the top of the Google Play revenue charts during its 4th-anniversary update last year. The consensus is that the 'anniversary update formula'—bundling new classes, large-scale combat content, and new servers—has proven successful once again.
