KRAFTON, Inc. (CEO Kim Chang-han) has published its sustainability report, the '2025 KRAFTON ESG Report.'
Under the ESG vision of 'Crafting Responsibility into Every Experience,' this report highlights KRAFTON's ESG perspective and management strategies for key issues. It centers on the core message that 'every experience created by KRAFTON begins on a sustainable foundation, is completed through user interaction, and expands into a new future through technology,' reflecting the company's commitment to establishing standards of responsibility across all gaming experiences and integrating them into its core sustainability management system.
Building on the foundation of sustainable management it has cultivated as a global publisher, KRAFTON has established an 'ESG Framework' that reflects the unique characteristics of the gaming industry. This framework consists of three pillars: #1 Sustainable Infra, #2 Trusted Publishing, and #3 Responsible AI.
Specifically, the 'Sustainable Infra' section introduces the physical and digital foundations that ensure the continuity of gaming experiences, such as the eco-friendly design of the new Seongsu office building and cloud-based operations supporting approximately 9k virtual machines (VMs). The 'Trusted Publishing' section reflects responsible operational standards for each market, based on global services spanning 242 countries. This includes a 'Trust & Safety' system, such as the enhancement of KRAFTON's proprietary anti-cheat system (KSS)—which led to the sanctioning of approximately 7.95 million illicit accounts in 2025—as well as minor protection and content moderation. The 'Responsible AI' section presents principles for the responsible use of AI through a governance structure comprising global data protection standards like ISO/IEC 27001 and 27,701, alongside oversight from an AI Safety consultative body and the ESG Committee.
The report was prepared in consideration of global sustainability disclosure standards and stakeholder perspectives. Through a double materiality assessment, KRAFTON identified four key issues: #4 Data Security and Privacy, #5 User Protection and Community Safety, #6 Core Talent and Capabilities, and #7 AI-based Gaming and New Business Innovation. The report systematically organizes the environmental, social, and financial impacts of these issues, focusing on response strategies and management directions tailored to KRAFTON's business and operational context.
A KRAFTON representative stated, "This report is a systematic compilation of how KRAFTON views and manages ESG, based on the essence of the gaming industry and our experience in global service operations. Guided by the principle of setting standards of responsibility for every experience our users encounter, we will continue to strengthen trust with our stakeholders, focusing on sustainable infrastructure, trusted publishing, and responsible AI utilization."
KRAFTON plans to continuously enhance its management system for key ESG issues based on this framework. The 2025 KRAFTON ESG Report is available on the company's official website.
