HanbitSoft (CEO Won Ji-hoon) announced on the 15th that its consolidated operating income for the first quarter of 2026 reached ₩2.2 billion, marking a turnaround to profit compared to the same period last year.
Consolidated revenue for Q1 2026 was ₩8.6 billion, a 2.8% increase year-on-year, while operating income rose by ₩2.4 billion. Net income also reached ₩2.8 billion, a 439% increase compared to the same period last year. This is attributed to the stable maintenance of the company's live-service-focused profit structure, which has been in place since the end of last year, resulting in qualitative growth.
Additionally, the company's flagship mobile MMORPG, 'Granado Espada M,' which HanbitSoft developed and services in-house, has surpassed ₩400 billion in cumulative revenue across major markets including South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, and Southeast Asia, driving the company's strategy to enhance profitability and secure IP marketability. Alongside this, HanbitSoft is strengthening its core business fundamentals by advancing its live services and implementing company-wide cost efficiency measures.
Along with the earnings report, HanbitSoft outlined plans for performance improvement in the second half of the year. The company intends to focus on operational stability in existing regions and internal management efficiency, while simultaneously boosting both revenue and profitability through expansion into new markets. Starting with the launch of 'Granado Espada M' in additional Southeast Asian regions, the company plans to expand its self-service regions globally, including North America and Europe. Furthermore, to ensure a prompt launch in China, it is currently conducting localization work in cooperation with local publisher 'Jiangsu 39 Inter-Entertainment Network Technology Co., Ltd.'
A HanbitSoft representative stated, "With the stable performance of "Granado Espada M" as a foundation, we expect our growth momentum to accelerate as we ramp up our efforts to capture new markets in the second half of the year. As the global expansion of our flagship IP and our management efficiency efforts become more visible this year, we will reward the market's trust with results that mark a significant leap forward."
