Gen.G have booked their spot in the second round of the 2025 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Playoffs after notching four consecutive wins, including back-to-back victories over T1 and KT Rolster during Round 4, Week 1.
The run began with a 2–1 reverse sweep over T1 on Aug. 7, avenging a Round 3 loss. While T1 dominated the opener with a lopsided 19–2 kill lead, Gen.G bot laner Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk turned the series around in Game 2 with a flawless performance on new champion Yunara. Mid laner Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon then sealed the series in 26 minutes behind a Corki-led composition.
Three days later, Gen.G swept KT Rolster 2–0, with Park going deathless in both matches to earn Player of the Match honors. The victories pushed Gen.G to a 23–1 record, securing one of two Round 2 byes for the Legend Group’s top seeds. KT Rolster’s loss extended their skid to five matches.
2025 LCK Round 4, Week 1 Summary
T1 split their week but secured a postseason berth after defeating Nongshim RedForce on Aug. 9. Support Ryu “Keria” Min-seok reached a career milestone in Game 1, becoming the first support in LCK history to record 500 kills. T1 closed the series with dominant early-game play, highlighted by Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon’s control of the top lane.

Dplus KIA also clinched a Play-In spot with a 2–0 sweep of DN Freecs on Aug. 10. While DN Freecs applied early pressure in both games, bot laner Kim “Aiming” Ha-ram’s late-game scaling proved decisive. Game 2 marked the first Janna pick in over three years, but Dplus KIA’s objective control secured the win.

With DN Freecs eliminated, BNK FEARX, OKSavingsBank BRION, and DRX remain locked in a tight race for the final Play-In positions. The 2025 LCK season runs through September, culminating in the Playoffs and the LoL World Championship later in the year.
