CoreJJ joined Team Liquid ahead of the 2019 LCS Spring Split. Pairing with Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng in the Bot Lane, Team Liquid's fearsome duo led the team to a 14-4 1st place finish in the 2019 LCS Spring Split.

Team Liquid has talented players across all roles, but no member dwarfed its roles competition in the way CoreJJ did. "What CoreJJ does in-game is unlike anything my former Supports have done., " said Team Liquid Mid Laner  Nicolaj "Jensen" Jensen in an LCS Spring Split Interview with Inven Global. 'It's like, 'Whoa, supports can actually really carry games a lot'.

The community seemed to agree with Jensen. CoreJJ was unanimously voted MVP, leading the LCS Supports in most categories and setting top marks in others. (Statistics provided by Oracle's Elixir). However, what CoreJJ brought to his team out of game may have been even more valuable than his best-in-class Support performance.

"CoreJJ is a really importance piece for me, since he's my laning partner and a World Champion Support player," said Team Liquid Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng in an LCS Spring Split interview with Inven Global.

"Core brings
so much to the table as a shotcaller that I am able to only speak up when I'm 100% sure my decision is right. Before, the team was predicated on whether or not I was able to make the right call, and I think it's really hard to do that consistently as an AD Carry."
