The 2018 KeSPA Cup Tournament Will Begin Mid-December

KeSPA released details regarding their annual KeSPA Cup tournament.

On the 6th of December, KeSPA announced that the KeSPA Cup Tournament will soon take place.

Beginning on the 18th of December, the tournament will feature 19 teams: 10 teams from the LCK, 8 from the KR challenger league, and 1 from KeG. The total prize pool is 102,000,000 Won ($91,100 USD). The KeSPA Cup champion team will take home approximately $35,700, and the MVP of that team will take $1,800.

Competing Teams -
- (LCK) SK Telecom T1, Gen.G Esports, Jin Air Green Wings, Hanwha Life Esports, bbq Olivers, and Team MVP
- (LoL Challengers Korea) RGA, GC Busan Rising Star, Team BattleComics, DAMWON Gaming, ES Sharks, Winners, Brion Company, and APK Prince.
- (Korea e-Sports Games) KeG Seoul

Format -
Round of 16 and 8: Single Tournament, Best of 3. Four Teams That Win Against Their Opponents During the Round of 8 Will Advance.

FreecUp Studio / Finals Venue Will be Announced at a Later Date

Schedule - 
December 26th ~ 31st

Competing Teams -
- (LCK) KT Rolster, Afreeca Freecs, Kingzone DragonX, and Griffin
- 4 Teams From Round 1.

Format -
Quarterfinals: Single Tournament, Best of 3
Semifinals and Finals: Single Tournament, Best of 5



Live viewing will not be available for the Actoz Arena. However, live viewing for FreecUp Studio and the Finals (Venue will be announced at a later date) will be available if tickets are purchased beforehand. Details regarding tickets and how to purchase them will be announced next week.
