KaKAO on His Comeback to the LCK: “I let down so many fans when I left kt Rolster. I am truly sorry.”

On May 9th(KST), Lee “KaKAO” Byung-kwon announced his return to the LCK. The Korean League community is currently in vigorous debate about his return; he was once accused of leaving kt Rolster without any specific communication with the team or the fans.

According to KaKAO, “An offer did come from an LPL team while I was negotiating with kt about my new contract. However, at that point, I did not reply to the offer. Eventually things didn’t work out with kt and after the negotiation was withdrawn, I started to negotiate with that LPL team.”

After clarifying his past rumors, he apologized to the fans, “I let down so many fans when I left kt Rolster. I am truly sorry.”

The current head coach of kt Rolster, Oh “ZanDarc” Chang-jong had something to say to his past teammate, “I’m actually still in a good relationship with KaKAO. His life abroad must have been tough and I understand what he has been through. Now he is a member of Jin Air Greenwings; I’d love to see him perform well and I am going to welcome my former teammate’s return.”
