Pearl Abyss launched the official servicing of Black Desert Online in Thailand and SEA on the 17th

Pearl Abyss started their official service of Black Desert Online (BDO) on January 17th in Thailand and Southeast Asia. The title is being serviced directly by Pearl Abyss, and the company is cooperating with Level Up Games, a partnered local company, for marketing and management in the region.

Level Up Games is a subsidiary of JIB Computer Group Company Limited, one of the biggest PC distributors in Thailand. Its solid distribution network and infrastructure are expected to empower the service of BDO in the country.

The pre-open began on the 10th before the official service and many players logged in, eager to play. All the prepared servers became congested at the time, and a new server was added, followed by two more on the 15th and 16th.

BDO Thailand and SEA is serviced in Thai, English, and Indonesian, and players from all parts of SEA can play the game. To commemorate the official service, Pearl Abyss prepared a variety of events such as a character customization show-off event, guild members benefits, level-up rewards, and Today’s pick, which can be purchased every day with mileage.

“We were able to see the heated interest of many players through the pre-open in Thailand, and we’ll answer with stable service and more diverse events through the official service,” said Seo Yoon Kim, the business manager of Pearl Abyss.

Meanwhile, BDO is receiving positive responses after its official service launch in Turkey and MENA last December, and is also making efforts to communicate with players by participating in GIST, the game show in Turkey, which will be held in February.

The very first launch in South Korea was in December 2014, and now BDO is being serviced in 12 different languages across more than 150 countries and 10 regions, including Japan, Russia, NA, EU, and Taiwan. The number of registrations exceeded 3 million in NA and EU, and the title was nominated as the best MMORPG for the years of 2016 and 2017 by MMORPG.com. The title is also planned to launch on mobile and console as well.
