Arc System Works America has announced a physical release of DAMON and BABY: Rise of the Oracle for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 (PS5), set for February 18th 2027.
According to a release, the packaged version is a re-release of DAMON and BABY with a new RISE OF THE ORACLE story chapter and quality-of-life improvements. Digital owners get that chapter as a free update the same day. Nintendo Switch players can download a free Upgrade Pack for the Nintendo Switch 2 edition. The official game page and a Dropbox press kit are linked from the announcement. Arc System Works America sent the alert through DKC on November 5th 2026.
Top-down action-adventure games mix exploration with combat viewed from above. DAMON and BABY leans into twin-stick shooting: players aim in all directions while weaving through enemy fire, then switch weapons as range, ammo, reload time and mobility change.
The release frames the hero as Damon, a demon lord cursed to stay with a mysterious child. Their adventure unfolds in a bleak world reminiscent of 1970s America. Offline two-player co-op is supported; the second player controls a canine companion that collects items and helps in fights.
Rise of the Oracle and Yomotsu-Hirasaka
The packaged edition includes the main story plus the extra chapter RISE OF THE ORACLE. Beyond a mysterious door, Damon enters the Japanese-style otherworld ‘Yomotsu-Hirasaka’, the release says, where demons take the form of Japanese folklore monsters and barriers tied to Mars, Mercury and Jupiter stand in the way.
Players gather the Three Sacred Treasures — the ‘Yata no Kagami’ (Mirror of Eight Palms), the ‘Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi’ (Sword of the Gathering Clouds of Heaven) and the ‘Yasakani no Magatama’ (Eight-Slope Jewel) — then challenge a ritual the release says will ‘break the rules of the entire universe’. New characters include apprentice Onmyoji Yugeno Mikoto (Mei), her mentor Izuna and servant Gedomaru.
How DAMON and BABY plays
Regions branch into hidden passages packed with weapons and charms. New abilities open earlier areas again. Builds combine weapons, skills, rings, charms and food buffs. Each area has a boss with its own patterns; Lord Bloodedge's Trials offer a high-difficulty challenge, the release notes.
