Arc System Works Asia Co., Ltd. announced that the Korean physical edition of DAMON and BABY: RISE OF THE ORACLE will be released on February 18, 2027. The target platforms are Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5.
This release adds the extra story 'RISE OF THE ORACLE' to the main top-down gun action adventure DAMON and BABY. An update containing the additional story will also be released for the existing Korean version on the same day. The digital release of the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and the availability of the Upgrade Pass are also scheduled for February 18, 2027.
The additional story follows Damon and his party as they set out on a new journey after receiving a request to save a benefactor. The setting is 'Yomotsu-Hirasaka,' a Japanese-style otherworld featuring demons that mimic yokai alongside the barriers of the 'Fire King,' 'Water King,' and 'Wood King.' The group must gather three sacred treasures—the 'Yata no Kagami,' 'Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi,' and 'Yasakani no Magatama'—to undertake the ritual.
Newly introduced apprentice Onmyoji 'Yugeno Mikoto' accompanies Damon on his journey. Her mentor, 'Izuna,' seeks the 'Three Sacred Treasures' in order to escape 'Yomotsu-Hirasaka.' The familiar 'Gedomaru' offers useful items in exchange for 'MANA.'
Damon, the protagonist of the main game, is a demon who saved a "mysterious child" at the request of an old friend, only to be afflicted with a curse that prevents him from separating from the child. The adventure to break the curse unfolds in a world reminiscent of 1970s America. The game supports 1–2 players with offline play. In 2-player co-op, the second player controls a partner dog to assist with item collection and combat.
Combat involves aiming in all directions, dodging enemy fire, and attacking according to each weapon's characteristics. Handguns, machine guns, shotguns, and RPGs differ in range, ammo capacity, reload time, and movement while aiming. Players can combine shooting and melee attacks, adapting equipment and tactics to match the attack patterns of each area's boss. A high-difficulty stage, 'Lord Bloodedge's Trials,' is also included.
During exploration, players search for branching paths and hidden passages to acquire weapons and charms. Obtaining new abilities allows access to previously unreachable locations. The game also features build creation by combining weapons, skills, rings, charms, and food, which can be adjusted depending on the enemy.
The original digital edition of DAMON and BABY is currently available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam.
