Lineage Classic expanded the Tower of Insolence up to Floor 40 in its November 4 update. According to the announcement, beyond Floors 21–30 dominated by terror, Floors 31–40 await with a thick aura of death, featuring new bosses waiting at the end of the new section.
Monsters appearing in the new section are powerful, ranging from low to mid-level 60s. While most of the drop items are existing gear, it is expected to become a new hunting ground for high-level players, as materials for the newly added Magic Armor and a new cloak are up for grabs.
Monster Lineup from Floor 21 to 40 Normal monster levels 62–66, undead-focused from Floor 31
Floors 21 to 30 feature Fear series monsters such as Fear Cerberus and Fear Nightmare, alongside Lesser Demon. From Floor 31 onward, Violent Skeleton variants, Violent Ghoul, and Violent Spatoi take center stage.
In particular, all six normal monster types on Floor 31 and above are undead. Hunting with silver or Oriharukon weapons yields far higher efficiency, so players targeting this section are advised to prepare their weapons first.
As the tower grew taller, travel convenience was also improved. Tower of Insolence F21 and F31 Teleport Scrolls dropped by normal monsters are also used to travel to rest floors, so be sure to pick them up while hunting.
· Allows teleportation to rest floors on F6, F16, F26, and F36
· Teleporting to newly added rest floors additionally consumes a Tower of Insolence Teleport Scroll of the corresponding floor range (F1, F11, F21, F31)
· Possessing a Tower of Insolence Teleport Amulet of the corresponding floor range prevents the consumption of Teleport Scrolls
F30 Vampire and F40 Zombie Lord Two New Bosses and Key Drop Items
On Floor 30 of the Tower of Insolence, the Level 66 Vampire appears as a new boss, while the Level 68 Zombie Lord appears on Floor 40. Both bosses drop high-value items such as the Saellabi Longsword and Cloak of Invisibility, along with various skill learning items.
Although Zombie Lord does not drop new exclusive items, it is well worth challenging as high-value weapons like Sayha's Bow and Saellabi Longsword, as well as various spell-related items, are on the line. Additionally, Vampire drops the Sealed Tower of Insolence F21 Teleport Amulet, and Zombie Lord drops the Sealed Tower of Insolence F31 Teleport Amulet.
New Cloak for Wizards Vampire's Cloak Stats
Vampire's Cloak, dropped by Vampire, is a newly added cloak exclusive to Wizards. It features a base AC of -2 with safe enchant up to +6, while boosting HP Recovery, Max HP, and MR.
Black Mithril: The Key Material for Magic Armor Three-step crafting from ore to plate
Hunting monsters on Floor 21 and above of the Tower of Insolence yields Black Mithril materials. Normal monsters drop Black Mithril Ore, the raw material stage, while the two bosses drop Black Mithril and Black Mithril Plate. Gathering materials purely through normal monster hunting requires step-by-step crafting via Blacksmith Ivelviin in Undercastle.
· 11 types of normal monsters on F21–40: Black Mithril Ore
· Bosses Vampire and Zombie Lord: Black Mithril, Black Mithril Plate
Crafting all three plates required for one Magic Armor starting from raw ore requires 30 Black Mithril and 150 Black Mithril Ore. The crafting cost alone up to the plate stage reaches 3.9 million Adena, and adding the Magic Armor crafting fee brings the total to 8.9 million Adena. As materials that make already expensive armor even stronger, Black Mithril items are expected to trade at high prices.
Magic Armor: Upgraded Dragon Scale Armor Equippable by all classes, safe enchant +4
Magic Armor is top-tier armor crafted primarily from +7 Fire Dragon, Water Dragon, Wind Dragon, or Earth Dragon Scale Armor, and can be equipped by all classes. It requires 5 Hearts and 30 Scales of the same element as the base armor; Hearts can be crafted via Ivelviin in addition to hunting monsters. Crafting a Heart requires 10 of each of the four Highest Quality Gem types, 100 gems of the corresponding element, and 100,000 Adena.
Compared to Dragon Scale Armor, AC and elemental resistance increase, while HP Recovery and Damage Reduction are newly added. With weight also reduced, it is equipment well worth striving for players who have already enchanted their Dragon Scale Armor.
If you can handle the high level curve, Floor 31 and above are worth tackling with anti-undead weapons, while bosses are worth challenging to target Vampire's Cloak and Black Mithril materials.
