HoYoverse announced on November 2 that Version 4.7, titled "Now, Lay Laughter to All Stars," will be released for Honkai: Star Rail on November 11. This update introduces the limited 5-star character "Aeon★Aha" and the new character development system "EX-Eidolon," while the permanent content "Currency Wars" enters Season 2.
Joining as a playable character, "Aeon★Aha" is a character on the Path of Elation. They unlock new combat abilities for characters of the same Path within the party and accelerate the combat tempo of Elation skills during "Aha Time". When "Willpower," accumulated based on party members' actions, reaches a certain threshold, Aeon★Aha unleashes an Ultimate that deals Elation DMG to all enemies. Powered by the authority of an Aeon, ally attacks can also directly reduce enemies' max HP.
Character reruns will be split into the first and second halves of the version. The first half features limited 5-star characters "Silver Wolf LV.999," "Sparxie," and "Yao Guang," while the second half features "Acheron," "Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae," and "Jing Yuan". The "EX-Eidolon" system, which unlocks new additional skills for designated characters, will first apply combat buffs to "Acheron," "Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae," and "Jing Yuan".
In this story, the Trailblazer teams up with Aha, the Aeon of Elation, to face the ancient beast "Voracity". As "Voracity," which had been sealed in the "Illusion Moon Game" for thousands of Amber Eras, awakens, Aha executes the "Voracity Hunt" plan to stop the monster before its power fully recovers. To this end, Aha gathers eight petitioners and holds the "Final Illusion Moon Game" aboard the giant airship "Starfroster". This performance marks the final show that will decide the fate of "Planarcadia".
The permanent content "Currency Wars" will be reorganized for Season 2, "Bizarre Voyage in the Painting". Version events include "The Fluffy Express Movie: Bustling Kitchen," where players run a dessert shop with Aha, and the combat event "Starpeace Festival: Path of the Star". In "Fantasy Showtime," players can earn rewards such as the limited outfit "Starry Lottery" for Aeon★Aha.
On the update day of November 11, the short animated film "A Cheerful Funeral Under the Moonlight" will be released. The new song "Creation from Nothingness," which brings the story of "Planarcadia" to a grand conclusion, will also be unveiled.
Honkai: Star Rail will also participate in G-STAR 2026, which will be held from November 19 to 22 at BEXCO in Busan. A variety of stage programs will be hosted on-site.
