On November 29, 404 Not Found will host Yoshi-P Radio & Yoshi-P Night, featuring indie game developer yona and the chief director of Kodansha Game Lab. Through the two talk programs, the event will explore solo developers' production experiences and editors' creative support processes.
The event will take place at 404 Not Found in Shibuya Sakura Stage, Tokyo, Japan. Starting with Yoshi-P Radio at 4:00 PM, Yoshi-P Night will follow at 5:00 PM, with a networking session scheduled for 6:00 PM. The sessions will be hosted by Shuhei Yoshida and Masahiko Murakami.
In the first program, yona will share his journey from getting started in game development to balancing development while working a corporate job, as well as creating games after going independent. Looking back at the process of creating In His Time and and Roger, yona will discuss the inspiration behind the titles and the lessons learned as a creator.
The second program will focus on the process of creators and editors polishing games together. It will introduce the background of establishing Kodansha Game Lab and its support model, where dedicated editors accompany the development process, using the two titles created with yona as case studies to explain from both perspectives the discussions held during project selection and game improvement.
yona worked as an engineer at room6, an indie game publisher in Kyoto, while developing personal games on the side. After being selected for the second cohort of Kodansha Game Lab in 2022, he went independent and released his first title, In His Time, in 2023, followed by his second title, and Roger, in 2025.
Yoshi-P Radio & Yoshi-P Night is a monthly event inviting indie game creators and industry supporters. Yoshi-P Radio focuses on creator profiles and game development, while Yoshi-P Night covers the people and support systems surrounding indie games.
