GAMEPIA CO., LTD. announced on the 29th that it has officially released the physical editions of ANOMALITH for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 in South Korea. The game is rated 15+ and supports subtitles in four languages in addition to Korean.
Developed by FURYU Corporation, ANOMALITH is a survival third-person shooter set in a retro-inspired Japan where players investigate a special space known as the "Otherworld." GAMEPIA released the domestic physical editions in collaboration with Clouded Leopard Entertainment Inc., which handles publishing.
The story centers around a young girl named Reona Minazuki, who sets out to find her missing friend. As the protagonist enters the "Otherworld" where her friend was caught, she also uncovers the secret behind the unique power that awakened within her. This space appeared suddenly and is depicted in a manner reminiscent of a liminal space.
Combat utilizes a combination of weapon customization and "Transformation Skills." Players can adjust firearms to suit their combat style and face enemies with diverse characteristics using "Transformation Skills" for both offense and defense.
During exploration, players can venture deep into the "Otherworld" to collect investigation reports on anomalies and unusual objects. Side missions allow players to learn about the character backgrounds and relationships. The sleeve for the Nintendo Switch 2 version is provided in English.
