On October 29, Neptune announced the official global launch of its multiverse Wuxia RPG, Sword Hero Zero. The game has begun service on Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and ONE Store, with plans to expand platform availability to Steam in the future.
Development was handled by Han-Squirrel Games. According to Neptune, the studio's previous Wuxia RPG, Han-Squirrel Jianghu, recorded 7 million cumulative global downloads and 45 billion won in revenue, while Sands of Salzaar sold over 2 million copies on Steam.
The setting of Sword Hero Zero is a multiverse where various Wuxia worlds are connected around 'Sword Heaven,' a space where countless souls gather. Players explore hidden realms throughout the martial arts world to forge their own story. Combat operates as real-time strategy, structured around chaining martial arts techniques—such as movement arts, stances, footwork, and mental arts—and selecting combinations tailored to battlefield conditions.
The martial artists possess distinct elemental attributes—such as Ice, Fire, and Wind—and their own backstories. Players can collect and develop these martial artists while composing parties based on elemental affinities and skills. Dungeon raids battling martial arts masters from across the realm are also provided.
The first rate-up pickup character featured with the launch is the swordsman 'Neungseol'. Characterized by pure white hair and a cold expression, Neungseol possesses combat abilities to freeze surrounding enemies using the ultimate technique 'Wind and Snow Divine Sword'.
To celebrate the release, all players will receive 20 'Wishing Orbs,' 20 'Myriad Tokens,' and 30 'Starlight Tokens'. Participating in the check-in event awards the top-tier martial artist 'Jeonan' among other rewards. The official Naver Lounge will also issue special daily coupons for 7 days post-launch, delivering additional rewards such as item draw tickets and stamina.
Kwon Seung-hyun, Head of the Game Business Division at Neptune, said, "Sword Hero Zero goes beyond traditional Wuxia boundaries by combining a multiverse worldview connecting different worlds with real-time strategic combat, martial artist collection and development, and open exploration." He added, "We have prepared generous benefits and events to celebrate the official release, so we hope many players experience Sword Hero Zero's unique Wuxia world firsthand."
