On October 28, Riot Games released the official visualizer video for "NEVER GOING BACK," a track by League of Legends' virtual girl group K/DA.
"NEVER GOING BACK" is a track from the four-track EP 'FIRESTARTER,' which was released on October 22. Miyeon and Soyeon of (G)I-DLE, who have performed together since K/DA's debut song "POP/STARS," provided vocals and rap as Ahri and Akali, respectively. Sebastien Najand and Aejin Kwon participated in composing and producing the song.
The 3-minute, 20-second visualizer combines typography direction with a convertible speeding through neon-lit night streets. Intercutting scenes of a swaying nine-tailed fox ornament with Ahri and Akali driving, the video conveys the fast-paced lyrics about stepping on the gas without looking back to break through limits. The video was produced in collaboration with animation studio Histeria!.
Marking K/DA's comeback after six years, the EP 'FIRESTARTER' features four tracks in total: the lead track of the same name, "WATCH ME," "NEVER GOING BACK," and "GIRLS," a collaboration with DJ Sona returning for the first time since 2015. Alongside the audio release, Riot Games previously unveiled the official music video for "FIRESTARTER"—produced in partnership with Fortiche—and a lyric video for "WATCH ME."
Composed of Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai'Sa, K/DA will take the stage for the opening ceremony of the 2026 League of Legends World Championship Finals at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on November 14 (local time). Virtual hip-hop group True Damage is also scheduled to perform during the opening ceremony.
