LINE Games (LINE Games Corporation) announced on October 27 that its in-development co-op comedy horror game QUIET reached #1 in the Top Demos section on the opening day of Steam Scream Fest 5.
According to LINE Games, 350,000 players from 148 countries registered for the Steam playtest held through mid-September. Around 1,200 video content pieces and online broadcasts were created globally, and over 800 survey responses were collected.
The demo released for the festival includes the arcade stage "Duck Out" and a spaceship-themed lobby. Limited-time decorative elements matching the event's theme were also introduced, alongside build optimization work to ensure a stable gameplay environment. The demo is playable on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Steam Scream Fest 5 is an event featuring horror-themed games, running on Steam through November 3. LINE Games plans to refine QUIET's gameplay based on user feedback gathered during the event and continue development targeting a global official release in the first half of 2027.
In QUIET, players become duck aliens who crash-landed on Earth and must attempt to escape while avoiding the landlady. The co-op comedy horror game supports solo play or up to four players, combining comical visuals with tense gameplay.
