On October 26, Webzen launched the official YouTube channel for its new title, Tyrant of the Defense Game: LAST STAGE (hereafter Tyrant of the Defense Game: LAST STAGE), and released its first teaser video. The 1-minute and 40-second video introduces the game's early narrative and key characters.
The video depicts the protagonist, who cleared the fictional game in the webtoon, being transported into the game world. It also showcases diorama pixel art representing key characters. Tyrant of the Defense Game: LAST STAGE is being developed by Webzen subsidiary Webzen Crevix based on Naver Webtoon's "Tyrant of the Defense Game" IP, targeting a release in 2027.
An official X channel will also open to communicate with players. Webzen plans to share news about the new title through the channel, including its G-Star schedule and events. On October 27, an event celebrating the channel's opening will begin. Among participants who follow the channel and quote the post, invitations to G-Star 2026 will be awarded via a drawing. The game is scheduled to be available for hands-on play at the G-Star 2026 B2C hall starting November 19.
For visual representation, the game utilizes Unreal Engine 5-based 3D graphics combined with diorama pixel art. Diorama pixel art is a technique that adds a 3D sense of space and direction to the nostalgia of 2D pixel art. By polishing character movements and expressions pixel by pixel by hand, it captures the atmosphere of the original work and the unique personalities of the characters.
The game system adapts the original work's core flow—exploration, defense battles, and territory management—into a gameplay structure centered on party composition and tactical operation. It combines positioning strategy based on roles such as tanks and damage dealers with elements that allow players to directly command characters.
