Gen.G defeated LYON 2-1 in the 2026 LoL World Championship (Worlds) Swiss Stage at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, USA, advancing to the quarterfinals with a 3-0 record following Dplus KIA.

After the match, Gen.G's Kim "Canyon" Geon-bu said, "In Game 1, I felt we drafted our composition poorly. It was a situation where we couldn't take fights even if we wanted to." He added, "I think Inspired has his own unique champion pool. Xin Zhao isn't picked much these days, but he brought it out, and after thinking a lot about jungle champions, I ended up picking Jayce."
He also mentioned that he chose his NA solo queue ID as 'Concrete Jungle', a phrase referring to New York, but two more wins are needed to reach New York where the finals will take place. When asked about his confidence level, he expressed strong ambition, saying, "I'm always confident, and looking at my solo queue nickname gives me motivation. I will work hard to make sure we get there."
