Dplus KIA defeated MKOI 2-0 on the morning of October 26 at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, USA, during the 2026 LoL World Championship (Worlds) Swiss Stage. Securing three consecutive wins, they became the first team to advance to the quarterfinals. Below is the full transcript of the interview with Dplus KIA's 'ShowMaker' Heo Su following their quarterfinal qualification.

Q. How do you feel about advancing to the quarterfinals with three consecutive wins?
I've never passed the Swiss Stage before, so I'm happy to go through with three straight wins. Game 1 was a bit tough today, but Game 2 was a dominant victory, so I'm satisfied.
Q. Overall, your movement looked sharp and your condition seemed great today. How was it?
Even as we win, we are fixing any problems that come up, and the team atmosphere is very passionate and great. I think we need to keep working hard and performing well going forward.
Q. Game 1 was a match where dragon-centric teamfights were crucial. The opponent put up quite a fight—how would you evaluate MKOI as a team?
What we knew beforehand was that they seemed to play around bot and jungle. Today's draft gave off that feel as well. We were able to win because we didn't back down easily in the bot and jungle.
Q. In Game 2, 'jojopyun' locked in Diana.
Syndra is traditionally weak against assassins, so I think that's why Diana came out. I don't think Diana is that great of a champion, though. A bit like Irelia? Although we picked Irelia ourselves (laughs), if she doesn't get kills, she's weak. We also tried our best not to get caught in the opponent's combo.
Q. You reached the quarterfinals first. It's a great opportunity to aim for the finals and even the trophy after a while. How do you feel right now?
The Worlds stage is really not easy. When an opportunity is given, I want to seize it as much as possible, and I'm desperate for it. Since we made it to the quarterfinals, I want to reach even higher.
Q. Although you have experience winning an international tournament like EWC, Worlds carries a different weight. As a former champion and veteran player, with what mindset are you approaching this Worlds?
I couldn't make it to Worlds last year. I'm approaching this tournament thinking that it could be my last. The results so far have been good, but there were many shortcomings along the way, so we need to continuously adjust and improve our drafts and mistakes. Also, when you advance to the quarterfinals with a 3-0 record, the break is long, so you might lose your game sense. I'll make sure to pay close attention to that while preparing.
Q. Finally, any words for the fans?
The time zone makes it difficult to watch, so I'm really grateful to the fans. I'd appreciate it if you keep cheering for us.
