In the early morning of the 26th KST, the draw for Round 3 of the Swiss Stage of the 2026 LoL World Championship (Worlds), scheduled to be held at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, USA, was completed.
Gen.G Esports and Dplus KIA, who advanced to the 2-0 pool after winning their LCK civil wars, breathed a sigh of relief as they avoided consecutive civil wars. They will face LCS's LYON and LEC's Movistar KOI, respectively. The winners here will achieve three wins and advance to the Quarterfinals.
The eight teams that recorded a 1-1 record in Rounds 1 and 2 will play the final Best-of-1 (BO1) matches. LCK's Hanwha Life Esports and T1 are also included here. As a result of the draw, Hanwha Life Esports will face LPL's IG, and T1 will meet LCP's CFO. The remaining two matches are direct head-to-head clashes between the LPL and LEC, with TES vs. G2 and BLG vs. Karmine Corp set to take place.
In the 0-2 pool, LPL's AL will clash with LCS's Team Liquid, while CBLOL's LOS faces LCP's TSW. These are elimination matches on the edge where the losing teams are confirmed to be eliminated. All matches with elimination and qualification on the line will be played as a BO3.
