Level Infinite and SHIFT UP have revealed the 4th Anniversary update for Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, the sci-fi shooter role-playing game (RPG), which goes live worldwide on October 29th with new characters, two story chapters and full Spanish text support.
According to a release, the details were shown during an official livestream on October 24th. Two trailers went out with the news: a Main Battle Trailer and a Maria-N Story Trailer. The release calls the update a ‘pivotal moment’ in the game's story.
New characters and the end of the Underground Ark arc
Marian: Queen leads the new roster. In her story, she competes with the Space Queen for ‘the ultimate prize’ (a world where her companions no longer die). Scarlet: Goddeath is an Eden-enhanced form of Hongryeon; her sword is forged from her own shattered blade and Jang-hwa's.
Rapunzel: Sanctuary is free. The SSR (the game's top rarity) support unit is built for mobility, and players can claim up to four copies through anniversary events. Main Chapters 49 and 50 cover the 3rd Surface Recapture War and close out the Underground Ark plotline. A new story chapter has been teased.
A "MARIA-n" story event follows Marian as she wakes in a research facility and takes her first steps on the surface. There is also "Fading Affection", a branching text-based visual novel minigame.
Stellar Blade music, costumes and rewards
SHIFT UP is pairing NIKKE with its other big game. TRACING THE STARS x Stellar Blade brings a 22-track music collaboration, four tracks of which are free, plus note skins, minigame backgrounds and a special character addition. Four costumes arrive as well; the gacha (paid random draw) skins are Marian: Queen – Last Affection, a wedding dress, and Snow White: Heavy Arms – Lacrimosa, while Neon_Vision and Nayuta_Vision come through the Battle Pass.
Players can earn up to 259 free recruitment attempts during the event. 4th Anniversary Nikke Selection Boxes let them choose one of Rapunzel: Sanctuary, Chime, Rapunzel: Pure Grace or Snow White: Innocent Days.
Times Square and Animate LA
The celebration also moves offline. On October 29th, NIKKE will take over the billboard at One Times Square in New York City for the whole day, with Marian on screen. Animate Los Angeles will then host an in-store anniversary event from October 31st to November 14th, with 3D illusion wall art, themed decorations and exclusive merchandise.

Level Infinite said NIKKE has been downloaded over 45 million times since launch. The game is available on PC, iOS and Android; more details are on the official website.
