PUBG MOBILE Esports has revealed the 16 teams heading to the 2026 PUBG MOBILE Global Open (PMGO) Season 2 Grand Finals in Lahore, Pakistan, where they will play this weekend for a $500,000 prize pool and the Season 2 title.

According to a release, the Group Stage and Survival Stage wrapped up after 18 matches, cutting the field from 32 teams to 16. Twelve teams qualified directly from the Group Stage and four more came through the Survival Stage. The Grand Finals kick off on October 24th, with 150 PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC) points on the line and a guaranteed place at the 2026 PMGC for the winner.

PUBG MOBILE is a battle royale game, a genre in which up to 100 players drop onto a map and fight to be the last one standing as the play area shrinks. Winning a match is known as a Chicken Dinner, from the in-game victory message ‘Winner Winner Chicken Dinner’ (WWCD).

The event is Pakistan's first official global PUBG MOBILE Esports event. Home favourites 4Thrives were knocked out in the Group Stage.

How the group stages played out

Group A played on Day 1 across the Rondo, Erangel and Miramar maps. 4K Esports took the first Chicken Dinner, but S2G Esports topped the standings with 60 points despite not winning a match, one point ahead of Bigetron by Vitality on 59.

On Day 2, Wolves Esports topped Group B with 64 points, one clear of Vampire Esports on 63. ULF Esports finished third and logged a 20-elimination Chicken Dinner in Match 1, the release says.

The Survival Stage brought together the 16 teams that placed 7th to 14th in each group, with four spots up for grabs. 4K Esports led with 65 points and Alter Ego Ares went through with a five-point lead, joined by Alpha7 and Al Ula. Local teams 777 Esports and LF Esports were eliminated.

The 16 teams in the Grand Finals are:

  • S2G Esports (Group A, 60 points)
  • Bigetron by Vitality (Group A, 59)
  • Horaa Esports (Group A, 53)
  • INFLUENCE RAGE (Group A, 52)
  • OLD NOT (Group A, 47)
  • AK Gold Esports (Group A, 42)
  • Wolves Esports (Group B, 64)
  • Vampire Esports (Group B, 63)
  • ULF Esports (Group B, 56)
  • The MongolZ (Group B, 54)
  • Regnum Carya Esports (Group B, 53)

A new format for the Grand Finals

The Grand Finals introduce a new format. Day 2 will feature the first-ever themed showmatch, played on Midnight Hunters Erangel, a vampire-themed version of the map. The showmatch winner earns the right to ban one map option for a new Match 13.

According to the release, Match 13 was added to make it more likely that the title is decided by a Chicken Dinner. It is only played if no team has been crowned under the SMASH rule by the end of Match 12. In that case, the leading team picks between the two remaining map options.

The release names S2G Esports, which won the PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC) in August, as ‘the team to beat’. Wolves Esports and Vampire Esports, which posted higher totals in Group B, are also tipped as contenders, along with Survival Stage qualifiers 4K Esports and Alpha7.

Building on Season 1

Season 2 follows 2026 PMGO Season 1, which the release says drew 1.2 million registrations from more than 200 countries and earned a Guinness World Record for the largest mobile team-based esports tournament. PUBG MOBILE Esports described the game as ‘the most popular battle royale game in esports’.

Match schedules, team rosters and details on where to watch the Grand Finals are available on the official PUBG MOBILE Esports channels on Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok and YouTube.
