The First Clear event for the newly added Extreme difficulty Limbo and Baldrix bosses in MapleStory took place starting at 7:00 PM on Friday, October 23.
Extreme difficulty for both bosses was added in the update on Thursday, October 22. As the highest-difficulty bosses, surpassing the previous top-tier difficulty of Hard Jupiter, they feature more demanding gauge management and new attack patterns. For Limbo, new mechanics in Phase 2 include an attack where the Flower of Resentment engulfs half of the map. For Baldrix, players must deal with new patterns in Phase 2, such as the boss charging toward the front of the screen to strike the battlefield with light beams, requiring players to seek cover in safe zones created by floating rocks.
With entry opening sequentially for Limbo at 7:00 PM and Baldrix at 8:00 PM on October 23, top-tier players engaged in a fierce race for the world first clear.
For Extreme Limbo, the party consisting of Tzudan (Cannon Master), Gwisin (Shadower), and Kang Eun-ho (Khali) achieved the world first clear in approximately 15 minutes. Subsequently, for Extreme Baldrix, the party consisting of Jingyeok Cannon (Cannon Master), Adele (Adele), and Goding (Paladin) achieved the world first clear in about 18 minutes, granting both parties the honor of claiming the first clears.
