Ahead of its official launch on the 29th, S-GAME's kung fu punk action title 'Phantom Blade Zero' has released its official launch trailer.
S-GAME unveiled the launch trailer for Phantom Blade Zero on the 22nd. The video showcases various in-game content, including story details and the fast-paced, stylish action characteristic of the wuxia genre.
Phantom Blade Zero is an action RPG that blends Chinese wuxia, fantasy, and steampunk elements. Players take on the role of protagonist Soul, who is framed for murdering his master and suffers a fatal wound to his heart; over his remaining 66 days of life, he must uncover the truth behind the conspiracy surrounding him. The development team has consistently described Phantom Blade Zero as a "kung fu punk" game.
The game features fast-paced combat grounded in traditional Chinese martial arts and extensive weapon variety. Players can utilize over 30 main weapons and various secondary weapons within a combat system that connects attacks, dodges, blocks, and parries. In particular, real martial arts movements and motion capture technology were used to bring wuxia film action to life, with Donnie Yen participating as a creative consultant.
The game will officially launch on PC and PS5 on October 29, Korea Standard Time. It supports a Korean interface and subtitles.
Meanwhile, alongside the launch trailer, S-GAME announced plans to release a physical PS5 disc package edition in 2027. A specific release schedule has not been disclosed.
