On the 8th, Pearl Abyss posted a Shorts video for 'Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown', the first downloadable content (DLC) for 'Crimson Desert', on its official social media channels, including YouTube.
The video features diving scenes exploring underwater with a pet, a new ship, and underwater movement using an ocean sunfish as a mount. The release is seen as an effort to maintain and build anticipation among players ahead of launch.
'Charting the Unknown' was first revealed in September during Sony's online showcase 'State of Play'. Its core gameplay revolves around players sailing their own ships into the ocean to explore new islands, underwater ruins, and treasures. Originally scheduled for release on October 16, Pearl Abyss pushed back the date by two weeks, stating that additional development time was needed to provide a more stable gameplay experience.
'Charting the Unknown' will be released as a digital download exclusive on the 30th. It is priced at 27,800 won and is available for pre-order on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
