Netmarble announced on October 8 that it has added the new hero 'Lancelot' and the main story chapter 'Heart of Water' to The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin. The update also brings commemorative events and the rerun of a 15-player boss fight.
Developed by Netmarble F&C, the game is an open-world RPG based on the comic IP The Seven Deadly Sins, which has recorded over 55 million cumulative copies sold worldwide. It is available to play on PlayStation 5, Steam, Google Play, and the Apple App Store.
The newly revealed region of Cordin Village serves as the backdrop for the new main story chapter, 'Heart of Water.' In a village faced with a crisis due to an unexplained petrification calamity, 'Tristan' helps resolve the villagers' struggles and establishes a temporary shelter. The narrative leads into an incident surrounding a keepsake left behind by a boy's older brother, revealing secrets about a figure who attempted to summon something using that relic.
The new hero, 'Lancelot,' is the son of the human 'Ban' and the Fairy 'Elaine.' His combat role changes depending on the equipped weapon: equipping a Staff makes him a Holy Attacker, while equipping a Longsword turns him into a Physical Attacker. When using either weapon, players can enhance attacks depending on specific conditions. Equipped with Gauntlets, he becomes an Earth Support hero who assists allies with Tag Gauge recovery and increased Critical Damage.
Exclusive character and weapon costumes for 'Lancelot' have also been introduced. Players can try out 'Lancelot' directly until October 28 to earn rewards across weapon types, such as 'Star Fragments' and 'Supreme Mastery EXP.'
Events running through October 28 include 'Raffle Meets Bingo' and 'Heart-Pounding! Open the Cube!' In 'Raffle Meets Bingo,' players use 'Bingo Tickets' earned from daily missions and other activities to draw numbers and complete a bingo board. In 'Heart-Pounding! Open the Cube!', players use 'Cube Keys' to complete missions and earn rewards such as 'Cube Keys,' 'Star Fragments,' and 'Regular Hero Summon Tickets.' The update celebration check-in event runs until November 18, offering rewards including 'Radiant Engraving Seals,' 'Regular Hero Summon Tickets,' and 'Cube Keys.'
The 15-player boss fight 'Chaos Biting the Desert' will rerun from October 14 to November 4. Players who challenge the boss 'Kalbash' can earn rewards such as the 'Four Dragon's Roar Weapon Selection Box' and 'Star Fragments.'
In The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, players can explore the continent of 'Britannia' and battle by switching between various heroes. The game offers action mechanics utilizing weapon and hero combinations, as well as combined attacks that vary based on hero team compositions.
