A total of 16 teams will compete at the 2026 PUBG MOBILE Global Open (PMGO) Western Europe Finals from September 18th to 20th, with two places at the tournament's Season 2 Main Event on the line.
The competition is for amateur and semi-professional teams and stems from the partnership between esports organisation G2 and PUBG MOBILE Esports, the competitive circuit built around the mobile battle royale title. It is being organised by 62, G2's in-house media company.
According to a release, 18 matches will be played across the three days, split evenly between them. Only the top two teams will advance to the 2026 PMGO Season 2 Main Event in October.
The event will also be co-streamed in three languages. JanickaGaming, the first creator to join the G2 x PUBG MOBILE Esports ambassador programme, will cover the tournament in English, with Asleyia broadcasting in German and LaauraBrawlStars in Italian.

"The PMGO WEU Finals bring that to life, giving emerging teams in the region a chance to prove themselves, compete internationally and show just how much talent Western Europe has to offer."
Shaowei Chen, Head of Western Europe Publishing at PUBG MOBILE, added: "The 2026 PMGO WEU Finals is an exciting moment for PUBG MOBILE Esports, as amateur and semi-professional teams will have their chance in the spotlight to show with a goal of proving they have what it takes.
"This tournament may see rising stars in the making, who will head into the PMGO S2 Main Event and perhaps even beyond, standing out among the greats on a global stage."
What comes after the Western Europe Finals

The Western Europe Finals is one of several regional events feeding into the Main Event, which will feature 32 teams from around the world. Those teams will compete over several weeks for a share of a $500,000 prize pool, with the tournament culminating in an event in Pakistan where the PMGO Season 2 trophy will be decided.
For the two teams that come through the Western Europe Finals, it will be their first appearance in PUBG MOBILE Esports competition at a global level.
