On September 18, Nexon announced that it has released a content update for the looter shooter 'The First Descendant,' developed by Nexon Games, introducing new Descendant 'Ultimate Hailey' and more.
'Ultimate Hailey' is a high-performance version of the Chill sniper 'Hailey.' Featuring a tactical suit and black tights concept in contrast to her existing white uniform, she possesses sniping capabilities utilizing the Ultimate equipment 'Dark Diagonal Line.' It also unveils a Descendant Story exploring Hailey's past and inner self, while increasing the overall skill damage of the original Hailey.
New skill modules added include 'Dangerous Distance' and 'Extreme Strike.' 'Dangerous Distance' increases Chill skill power and critical hit rate at close range and transforms her Unique Weapon skill into a minigun form. 'Extreme Strike' increases in power the further away the enemy is, delivering a single-shot attack that pierces all targets. A dedicated Trigger Module, 'Freezing Breakthrough,' was also introduced.
In the new dungeon 'Cradle of Evolution,' the story unfolds as players infiltrate an experimental facility built by the 'Order of Truth' to create a higher-order entity and halt the experiment. The mission progression changes with every playthrough, and players can acquire research materials for 'Ultimate Hailey' in the dungeon.
Balance adjustments were also made for the Descendants 'Luna' and 'Lepic.' For Luna, damage, buff duration, and Inspiration Gauge acquisition efficiency were increased, while the attack range and performance of her main skills were buffed. For Lepic, damage for key skills such as grenades and 'Overkill' was increased, and the mechanics and performance of certain skills and related modules were overhauled.
Web-linked 'Lounge Storage Trade' has also been added. Players can register Trigger Modules, Ancestor Modules, and Transcendent Weapons in their Lounge, and registered items are automatically synced to the web 'Trade Market.' Buyers can search for items on the web and visit the seller's Lounge to trade.
Alongside the update, Nexon is hosting attendance and growth support events across different periods. The 'Karel's Mothership: Phase Conquest Celebration Event' runs until October 1, while the 'Marksman's Precision Strike Mission' and 'Descendant Rebalance: Luna & Lepic' events run until October 15. The attendance event 'Eastern Mystic Gley' will run until October 22.
