Netmarble announced on September 17 that it held a media presentation for its new mobile roguelite action RPG, 'Solo Leveling: KARMA', at Tokyo Game Show 2026 (TGS 2026) held at Makuhari Messe in Japan.
At the presentation held at the Netmarble booth, Hirokazu Yamashita, Head of the Business Division at Netmarble Japan, and Jin Seong-gun, Head of Development at Netmarble Neo, attended to introduce the game's core systems and content.
Jin Seong-gun, Head of Development at Netmarble Neo, said, "In this TGS 2026 build, players can experience over 200 types of buffs and 8 playable characters," adding, "In particular, we implemented the 'Shadow Army'—a core element of the original work—as playable characters that can be directly controlled beyond simple summons, delivering a differentiated action experience."
Japanese actor Kanata Hongo attended as a special guest and demonstrated Story Mode and Survival Mode.
Pre-registration for 'Solo Leveling: KARMA' has been underway since September 16 on Google Play Store and Apple App Store in Korea and Japan. Pre-registration participants will receive rewards including the 'Sung Jinwoo Predator Outfit', 'Shadow Monarch Halo Decoration', 'Monarch's Box', 'Hunter's Box', and 'Secret Support Card'.
Hirokazu Yamashita, Head of the Business Division at Netmarble Japan, stated, "With this new title, we are aiming to win the Future Division award at the Japan Game Awards 2026," adding, "We will conduct game demos and on-site events during TGS 2026, and actively communicate with players until the official launch."
'Solo Leveling: KARMA' is a game under development based on the global IP 'Solo Leveling'. It covers the 27-year Monarch War of Sung Jinwoo after returning to the past using the 'Cup of Reincarnation', an era that was not detailed in the original work.
