NC's new title 'Astrae Oratio', currently under development by Dynamis One, has released a new video, the 'Prologue Digest PV', to coincide with the opening of TGS 2026.
This video is a digest PV featuring key scenes from the prologue of 'Astrae Oratio' (hereinafter referred to as Asora). The story unfolds around a mysterious organization known as the 'Special District Office for the Management of Anomaly-Designated Areas' (hereinafter referred to as the Special District Office). The protagonist, a low-ranking local civil servant holding the title of 'Chief', is transferred to the Special District Office to oversee the magicians living in Tokyo and handle various administrative issues involving them.
In the game's setting, Tokyo is introduced as the world's largest existing metropolis and its most powerful magical domain. The head of the Special District Office tells the protagonist that this is a place where their dreams can come true, hinting at the events to come.
Behind the scenes of the world lies a mysterious group known as the 'Inner Cabinet' (Ura-Naikaku). As the real power behind Tokyo's magical world, the Inner Cabinet is the faction responsible for establishing the Special District Office via executive orders, operating from the shadows of the city as shadow bureaucrats and dark politicians. From the middle of the video onward, secrets surrounding the Inner Cabinet and the Special District Office are introduced, hinting at a story that goes beyond simple administrative work to involve intertwined interests and political conflicts among magicians.
Subsequently, conflict escalates rapidly as characters become entangled in an unfair trial by combat whose outcome is already predetermined. In the latter half of the video, along with dialogue indicating that the protagonist will be given two choices, the message "Whatever choice you make, you are always free" is conveyed. Through this, the video emphasizes the weight of choice and the meaning of freedom that the protagonist will face ahead.
Although the digest PV focuses heavily on the narrative, brief gameplay footage can also be seen throughout. Along with story screens depicting character dialogue, short glimpses of combat and character animations offer a look into the game's overall atmosphere.
Currently, Astrae Oratio is accepting applications for its CBT until noon on September 21. Selected players will be able to participate in the test on Android and iOS devices, with specific CBT schedules to be announced at a later date. Astrae Oratio is participating in TGS 2026 with a standalone booth. Visitors on site can test the game by choosing between a scenario build and a combat build, and a screening event featuring the prologue scenario from the early part of the game will take place on the booth stage. The Prologue Digest PV was released on official channels on September 17, the opening day of TGS.
