LINE Games announced on September 11 that it has updated the hack-and-slash action RPG UNDECEMBER, developed by Needs Games and published by LINE Games, with its new season, 'The Farside'.
The core content of this season, 'Agony Wave', is played as a roguelike wave defense mode. Players can defeat 'Chaos Dungeon' bosses to obtain the exclusive entry item 'Erosion Key' and then enter the mode from Saluto. Players fill a gauge by defeating normal monsters and must subdue the wave bosses that spawn.
Upon clearing each wave, players must choose one of three options containing both a blessing and a curse. A feature to remove unwanted options within a limited number of uses is also provided. Players can use 'Erosion Fragments' collected during play to select final reward chests and acquire new Essences used for Runes and gear, including 'Spica', 'Casthor', '[Forging] Birth', and '[Forging] Imbue'.
'Divine Punishment' and 'Charged Shot' have been added as new Skill Runes. Existing Channeling skills—'Flamethrower', 'Sacred Light', 'Domain of Strength', 'Sacred Devotion', and 'Enchanted Sentry'—have been overhauled to allow movement while maintaining Channeling.
The 'Constellation of Time' dungeon has been integrated into 'Chaos Dungeons', and the Essence drop boost effect for Zodiac Pass-exclusive materials has been increased by 100%. Balance adjustments have also been implemented to add new equipment and narrow performance gaps between skills and Relics.
Additionally, a 'Rune Cast Preset' feature has been added, which automatically searches owned Runes to re-equip saved configurations. Quality-of-life features have also been improved, including Relic summoning and Abyssal Stone favorites.
Until the season ends, LINE Games is offering growth rewards via exclusive attendance rewards to new players and returning users who have not logged in over the last 30 days. The in-game event 'Koko's Great Adventure' also returns, alongside season opening celebration attendance rewards and season support gifts.
