On September 10, Level-5 held its "LEVEL5 VISION 2026 II Dream" online showcase to unveil the latest news and updates on its upcoming game lineup.
Streamed via YouTube, the showcase presented additional updates on several titles, including Professor Layton and the New World of Steam—whose release date had been previously announced during Nintendo Direct—and Yo-kai Watch 2: Haunted Domain. At the end of the showcase, Professor Layton and the Curious Village Remake was revealed as a surprise announcement.
■ Yo-kai Watch 2: Haunted Domain
Following the Nintendo Direct, additional details were revealed for Yo-kai Watch 2: Haunted Domain. Serving as a remake of Yo-kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits, Fleshy Souls, and Psychic Specters, this title inherits the appeal of the original Yo-kai Watch 2 while completely revamping the graphics from the ground up.
Developed based on Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters, the game will feature not only overhauled graphics but also a wealth of content including additional story content and new Yo-kai. Players can become friends with familiar Yo-kai from the original game as well as brand-new Yo-kai that have never been revealed before.
Alongside the protagonist Nate, players will encounter and befriending various Yo-kai while experiencing the mysterious incidents and adventures characteristic of the Yo-kai Watch series. Specific details regarding the additional story and new Yo-kai will be released at a later date. Yo-kai Watch 2: Haunted Domain will launch on PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
■ Fantasy World Puchi Puyo
New details and an opening movie were revealed for Fantasy World Puchi Puyo, a mobile puzzle game co-presented by Level-5 and NHN PlayArt. The two companies previously collaborated on Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble, and for this new title, they plan to expand the IP with short animations and related merchandise alongside the game.
Fantasy World Puchi Puyo is a puzzle game in which players merge matching characters to gradually evolve them. Combining identical Puchi Puyo on screen evolves them one step at a time, allowing players to build chains and aim for high scores.
In puzzles, destroying Crystal Runes all at once fills up the skill gauge, which can be leveraged to achieve higher scores. Players earn Puyo Orbs based on their acquired scores, collecting them to progress through various stages.
■ Decapolice
New details on the crime suspense RPG Decapolice were revealed for the first time in a long while. Set in a futuristic city of crime, Decapolice sees players investigating and solving various cases by moving between reality and virtual space.
In the game, players investigate crime scenes reproduced in virtual space, collecting evidence and securing testimonies from involved parties. They then connect the gathered information to deduce the culprit's identity. Decapolice sets itself apart by seamlessly connecting investigation, deduction, arrest, and combat into a single fluid loop, rather than stopping at simply finding the suspect.
A major overarching mystery is woven into the main story itself, promising unexpected plot twists unseen in past titles. Separate from the main narrative, case quests involving various incidents are also available, allowing players to experience diverse forms of deduction and investigation.
Level-5 stated that while development is taking some time before launch, the title is being crafted to offer a fresh gameplay experience distinct from conventional games. Decapolice is scheduled to release in 2027 on PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
■ Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time DLC
The DLC "Heavenly Train and the Terminal of Happiness" for Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time was revealed. As paid DLC, it adds new rank caps to each Life, letting players undertake new trials to challenge the pinnacle God Rank. The crafting system is also expanded, with certain God Recipe items granting special God Skills.
Alongside this, a new accessory called Otomobil—which flies around characters to assist in their adventures—and new mounts are being introduced. Mounts can be customized in appearance and performance by equipping parts crafted through crafting Lifes, and players can even attack while mounted. Additional content will include new furniture, house designs, monsters, gathering materials, and new advanced classes.
■ Snack World Reloaded
New information was unveiled for Snack World Reloaded, a remake of The Snack World: Treaserers. The game drastically improves upon the original graphics to craft a world that feels as if players are adventuring inside a real diorama. While heightening visual presence and immersion, overall gameplay elements are also being thoroughly refined.
A new mode allows players to control Chup, the protagonist of the anime adaptation, to progress through the story. Combat will also feature enhanced action, improved staging, and better controls. Level-5 aims to preserve the frantic tone and fun unique to Snack World while significantly evolving the actual play experience, with further details to be disclosed later.
■ Holy Horror Mansion
New details were revealed for Level-5's new title, Holy Horror Mansion. While built on a horror premise, Holy Horror Mansion presents a heartwarming family story. While living with their family in an apartment building managed by their grandmother, the protagonist discovers a mysterious camera, encounters new beings, and gets swept up in strange occurrences happening throughout the city.
The core mechanics revolve around interacting with various objects in the world. Objects possessing strong spirits can be photographed to transform into Mononoke. Discovered Mononoke can be befriended, used to turn objects into exploration gimmicks, or transformed into dungeons to explore inside. Combat proceeds to the rhythm of music, with players taking on enemies alongside their Mononoke allies.
Holy Horror Mansion will be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2026, and a cross-media project featuring large-scale merchandise expansion beyond the game is also in development—representing the largest scale in Level-5 history. The game is scheduled to launch in 2027 on PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
■ Inazuma Eleven: Flames of Revolution
Inazuma Eleven: Flames of Revolution, the sequel continuing the story of Victory Road, was unveiled for the first time. Introducing new main character Nagi Furuhoshi, specific details regarding the narrative content and the meaning behind the title will be revealed during the next showcase.
Meanwhile, Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road has been officially registered in the Guinness World Records. It earned the world record for the most original playable characters in a video game. Excluding characters modeled after real-life individuals, 5,402 characters that players can acquire and play as were counted toward the record.
■ Professor Layton and the New World of Steam
A new trailer for Professor Layton and the New World of Steam was showcased. The video captures Professor Layton and Luke taking on a new request and investigating a case, alongside glimpses of various locations across the city setting, a diverse cast of characters, and puzzle-solving sequences.
The narrative of this installment revolves around a large-scale mystery. Both the story and puzzles are nearing completion, with development currently in the polishing stage to ensure the story fits a fresh new entry. Puzzle design for the title is handled by QuizKnock, offering a variety of brainteasers that maintain the series' signature feel while adding new ideas.
Professor Layton and the New World of Steam will launch on December 10 for PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game officially supports Korean.
■ Professor Layton and the Curious Village Remake
A remake of the series' debut title, Professor Layton and the Curious Village, was revealed as a surprise announcement. This remake will re-present Professor Layton and Luke's very first adventure in a brand-new form. Professor Layton and the Curious Village Remake will launch in 2027 for PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, and officially supports Korean.
Accepting a request from a wealthy baron's widow, the duo arrives at the village to unravel the mystery surrounding the Golden Apple and the events connected to it. The announcement unveiled newly drawn key scenes alongside Professor Layton and Luke.
Level-5 introduced the remake as "an opportunity for returning players to reunite with a familiar village, and for newcomers to experience the puzzles that served as the starting point for the entire series."
