Smilegate announced on September 9 that it has updated the dark fantasy roguelike RPG 'Chaos Zero Nightmare' (hereinafter CZN), developed by Super Creative, with Galactic Disaster Season 4's new story 'Scythe of Rapacity' and Combatant 'Olga'.
'Scythe of Rapacity' is the third chapter of Galactic Disaster Season 4. Following clues regarding the threat to First, the Captain and their party enter the Chaos on planet 'Pagna', where they encounter an ever-changing labyrinth and the unidentified pursuer 'Olga'. In the process, the mysterious power possessed by the Captain and secrets from the past are gradually revealed.
'Olga', a key figure in the story, joins as a new Combatant. A 'Psionic' class Combatant of the Instinct attribute, she specializes in inflicting 'Fracture' and 'Agony' effects on enemies using her unique cards and dealing continuous damage over time. The newly added Partner 'Emilie' increases the attack power of the assigned Combatant, and when that Combatant inflicts Fracture using a card, her partner effect boosts their critical hit chance and Fracture damage.
Along with the new story, the 3rd Supply Shop has also opened. Players can obtain items such as 'Signal Amplification Anchors' needed for acquiring characters, as well as Core items.
Quality-of-life improvements have also been implemented. When obtaining 'Memory Fragments', which serve as equipment for Combatants, players can now automatically lock desired fragments or set them to be discarded. In the roguelike content 'Sortie', a 'Remote Extraction' feature has been added, allowing players to skip gameplay in exchange for receiving fewer rewards than usual. This feature is unlocked after completing Act 3 in Hardcore Mode, and play records reset every three weeks.
An Archive feature has also been introduced, allowing players to view illustrations unlocked through stories and events again. Stored illustrations can be set as the home screen background.
Events celebrating the update will run until the 30th. In a narrative event where players become a bartender, crafting cocktails requested by customers and gathering hints through conversation, different endings can be unlocked based on player choices. During the same period, players can complete daily missions in 'Olga's Secret Diary' to receive Crystals and growth resources.
