NC has released a special video to celebrate reaching 80,000 combined global followers for its subculture RPG 'Astrae Oratio'.
Through the game's official channels, NC expressed its gratitude for player support and presented a Shorts video featuring in-game character Sakuba Yuki. Yuki is introduced as the star employee of Cafe Ichigo who calls herself a samurai. Originally a drifter, she was taken in by Ichigo's master, and her innocent and diligent attitude allowed her to quickly blend into the cafe. However, due to her lively and high-energy personality, she frequently bumps into things or trips, humorously leaving no intact plates in the shop. The video introduces Yuki as a "former Shinsengumi, current cafe employee, and secret lycanthrope."
This news was shared as part of official social media operations utilizing the concept of the PR department for the "Special District Office," a core setting in the game's universe. 'Astrae Oratio' is a modern dark fantasy (shindenki) subculture RPG centered on the themes of magic and administration, developed by Dynamis One. The game's title translates to "Prayer of the Stars" in Latin, and is set in a familiar yet strange Tokyo around the time Tokyo Tower was completed.
Meanwhile, NC has been recruiting participants for the closed beta test (CBT) of 'Astrae Oratio' since August 19. Applications are being accepted on the official website until noon on September 21, and selected players will be able to play the test version on mobile platforms including Android and iOS.
