Pan Studio announced on September 8 that it has released the Version 1.6 update, "Paradise's 22nd White Bunny," for its multidimensional action dual-fantasy RPG Duet Night Abyss.
The update introduces a new main story arc, "Twilight Arc - Chapter 2 - Paradise's 22nd White Bunny." Players can venture into a paradise hidden beyond deep mountains and lush forests to uncover the truth concealed behind peaceful landscapes and follow the stories of new characters.
The new main story "End of Paradise" and character-focused side tales "Sojourns of the Pages of Time - Eve" and "Sojourns of the Pages of Time - Falsi" have also been added. Additionally, a quest pre-unlock feature has been introduced so new and returning players can quickly experience the latest main story content.
The new exploration zone, "Mount Arcano," is located in the southern mountain range of Flagson. Left devastated by the war between Hyperborea and the Elysian Church four years ago, the area offers various distinct sub-zones to explore, including "Arcano," "Arcano Ruins," and "Mount Arcano Rift."
A new Pyro character, "Falsi," joins the roster. Falsi wields dual blades and dual pistols and can be obtained through Covert Commissions. Meanwhile, the new Water character "Dream Boy/Girl" can be acquired upon completing the Chapter 2 main story quest "Lost Field."
For new armaments, the dual blades "Stifled Howl," which can be crafted via the Forge, have been added. On the 29th, the whipblade "Sanguis Sanctus - Whipblade" and the calamity weapon dual pistols "Sanguine Plume" will be released. New "Demon Wedges" and corresponding blueprints, which diversify growth paths for characters and weapons, are also introduced.
The "Immersive Theatre" event runs until the 29th, allowing participants to drive the narrative and obtain Covert Commissions for Falsi. The cumulative login event "Way of the Penitent" rewards players with 10 Luminous Hourglasses. Additional events including "Treasure Hunt Trials," "Frozen Time," "Harvest Day," "Starlight Tour," and "Starlight Chronicle" will unlock sequentially. Meanwhile, "Bizarre Movement," showcasing new costumes for Berenica and Psyche, is scheduled to launch on the 29th.
Quality-of-life additions include a party lobby, auto-consecutive challenges, and continuous fishing within the auto-fishing feature. An additional weapon mastery for characters and an autonomous cooperation feature for preset lineups were also introduced, while filters and out-of-focus options were added to the camera system.
The maximum friend capacity has been expanded to 200 players. The maximum guild level and member cap have been increased to Level 10 and 70 members, respectively, while improvements were made to multiplayer content, Forge and Reputation systems, as well as cosmetic and UI displays. Additionally, attack multipliers for select melee weapons and stage progression structures have been adjusted.
