Cygames announced on August 27 that pre-orders have opened for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of 'Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising', a fighting game planned and produced by Cygames and developed by Arc System Works.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version will launch on September 17 through the My Nintendo Store and Nintendo eShop. It will be offered as the 'Legendary Edition', which bundles the base game, 'Deluxe Character Pass Part 1', 'Deluxe Character Pass Part 2', and the Additional Character Set 'Id', priced at 58,800 won.

In the 'Legendary Edition', players can access 40 playable characters featured in the game—including the new character 'Id'—without additional purchases. As an early purchase bonus, players will receive the Sandalphon costume 'Reverence Attire', which can be used in battles and Digital Figure mode.

A new battle mode, 'Gyro VS', which lets players execute combo attacks and abilities by swinging a Joy-Con 2 or Joy-Con, will also be added. It supports local wireless battles, and online play features cross-play with PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam players for Ranked Match, Casual Match, and the party game 'Grand Bruise Legends!'.

The Ver. 2.60 update, applied on the release date, includes the new battle system 'Chain Attack' and battle mode 'Super Ultimate Plus'. 'Chain Attack' helps players execute combos in various situations, while in 'Super Ultimate Plus', all characters fight in an empowered state.

A save data link feature with 'Granblue Fantasy: Relink - Endless Ragnarok' will also be added. Players who hold save data for both games on the same device can receive linking bonuses in each game.

Linking bonuses for 'Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising' include the Weapon Skin 'Premium Sword (Id)', Character Colors No. 20–21 (Id), Lobby Avatars 'Lyria (Maiden of Salvation)' and 'Id', two Special Plates, the Title 'Id Veteran', and System Voice 'Id'.

Cygames will also hold pre-orders on CyStore from September 17 to October 19 for merchandise celebrating the release of 'Id' and the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 version.
