Nexon (co-CEOs Kang Dae-hyun and Kim Jung-wook) announced on the 23rd that it has launched the Season 40 'Mechanic 2' update for its mobile racing game, 'Kartrider Rush+'.

This season serves as the second chapter of the Season 18 'Mechanic' theme, featuring high-speed racing in a reawakened machine city. The update introduces two new highlight karts (Flare Viper and Venom Viper), two speed karts (Industrial and Steel King Crab), and four item karts (Aircraft Carrier, Steam Locomotive, Electro, and Roller). Additionally, it adds five new characters (Riley, Technician Naiad, Sailor Tiera, Mechanic Etti, and Steampunk Bazzi) and five new pets, including the 'Maple Spirit' flying pet and the 'Mecha-Cat' pet. Furthermore, the 'Mansion Afternoon Holiday' track has been added to the speed mode, and starting August 7, players can enjoy the 'Beach Exciting Summer Vacation' track, which will be available for both speed and item modes.

Nexon is also adding a new 'Aquarium' feature to Rush Farm. Accessible from Rush Farm center level 20, players can use feed earned through farm missions to increase the stats of marine life, thereby boosting coin yields or raising additional marine life. Star Coins earned as mission rewards can be exchanged in a dedicated shop for resources or various newly added buff items. Missions reset weekly, allowing players to continuously earn rich rewards.

To celebrate the new season, Nexon is hosting various events. Players who collect 15 each of four types of fragments (watermelon, ice cream, donut, lollipop) in multiplayer matches by August 23 will receive a permanent 'Sailor Tiara' character. Additionally, until September 16, players can exchange season coins at the exchange center for items such as the permanent 'Full-Rabbit Naiad,' 'Buggy Turtle,' and 'Circuit Lover Tiara.'

Events commemorating the new 'Rush Farm Aquarium' are also underway. From July 24 to 26, players will receive a 50% bonus to EXP and item acquisition, as well as a 50% increase in Rush Farm coin revenue from restaurant sales. From July 23 to September 16, players can earn Batteries or Secret Keys based on their aquarium growth grade, and obtain marine feed and ranch feed by completing various missions.
