Neptune (CEO Kang Yul-bin) announced that it has signed a global publishing agreement with game developer Sextant for its new mobile title, 'Trace of the Wind.'

'Trace of the Wind' is a fantasy RPG featuring an expansive narrative and world-building. It combines high-resolution pixel art with turn-based strategic combat and allows players to freely switch between portrait and landscape modes to suit their environment. Players can experience the conflict surrounding 'Marintica,' the holy sword of creation, and the protagonists' journey through the unique aesthetic of pixel graphics, lyrical presentation, and the immersive feel characteristic of JRPGs.
The game's combat is based on a strategic system utilizing elemental affinities, and it offers content for collecting and nurturing various characters and monsters. It includes growth systems such as weapon breakthroughs and imprinting, as well as co-op raids, main scenarios, and dungeon content, alongside life-skill activities like fishing and mining. Content updates, including the addition of new classes and guild wars, are also ongoing.
The game was officially released on mobile and PC in China earlier this year and currently has approximately 500k followers on its official TapTap page. Neptune is preparing for a global launch, including in Korea, and plans to expand its user base by leveraging its localization and operational expertise.
Kwon Seung-hyun, director of Neptune's Game Business Division, stated, ""Trace of the Wind" is a title that has already been validated by many users for its quality. We expect it to be well-received by players who appreciate the unique sensibilities of JRPGs, pixel art, and deep narratives." He added, "We will provide a high-quality service to ensure that players in Korea and around the world can fully experience the power of the story, strategic combat, and the fun of collection."
