Nexon announced on the 10th that THE FINALS®, a team-based FPS developed by its subsidiary Embark Studios, has launched its massive Season 11: Galaxy Masters update.

This season features a space travel theme, introducing a new arena called 'Galaxy Estates' with a retro-futurism concept inspired by the 1960s American Dream. Galaxy Estates is a space colony blending suburban residential areas, commercial facilities, and large-scale infrastructure. It features a dense battlefield where narrow urban streets coexist with vast landmarks, alongside dynamic new movement systems like speed tunnels and anti-gravity zones. Following the medieval fantasy of the previous season, this update continues to expand the game's diverse world, staying true to its concept as a game show set in a virtual world.

The CQC system has also been completely overhauled. By adding melee defense and counter-mechanics, the update provides both attackers and defenders with more opportunities to actively engage in combat. Additionally, the introduction of a stamina system—useful for chasing or disengaging from fights—and a precision strike system that rewards accurate hits with higher damage has significantly heightened the intensity of close-quarters combat.

Content has also been added to help new players adapt quickly. The new 'Cashout Bot Mode' is designed to let players learn the core rules and gameplay mechanics against AI without pressure. This mode follows the same flow as actual matches, and the difficulty can be adjusted based on the player's adeptness. Furthermore, playing in Bot Mode allows players to progress their Battle Pass, career, and other character milestones.

In addition, various system improvements have been implemented to enhance the overall game environment and user convenience. The respawn system has been refined to be more intuitive and fair, improving the experience of returning to the battlefield, while the ping system has been expanded with more detail to enable quick and clear communication between teammates. Other changes, such as a revamped rank UI, actively reflect key feedback from the user community.

To celebrate the Season 11 update, Nexon has released a new Battle Pass. In line with the space travel theme, the Season 11 Battle Pass includes costumes and emotes featuring astronauts, cutting-edge robots, and aliens. Players can also earn a variety of cosmetic items, including sci-fi-themed weapon skins and accessories.
