Formirai announced on the 10th that its online riichi mahjong game, 'Mahjong Soul,' has launched a collaboration update with the popular mystery adventure game series 'Danganronpa.'

This collaboration is a revival event featuring the 'Danganronpa' content that previously received a positive response from players. Four popular characters from 'Danganronpa'—Makoto Naegi, Kyoko Kirigiri, Celestia Ludenberg, and Junko Enoshima—are returning and can be obtained through the in-game recruitment system. In addition to their default and awakened outfits, swimsuit costumes will also be available via additional outfit vouchers. Furthermore, original 'Mahjong Soul' characters Choi Hyo-rin and Elsi are also returning for a limited time.

The update also features an attendance event and a minigame titled 'Mahjong Nonpa.' Users can earn 'Monokuma Medals' through the minigame, which can be exchanged for various in-game items such as gacha tickets. The official community is also hosting a Twitter H5 event and a countdown sharing event, offering in-game rewards and GS25 mobile gift vouchers.
