Ubisoft announced on the 10th that it has officially launched Assassin's Creed Black Flag Rethinked, the latest title in the Assassin's Creed franchise, worldwide.
The game is available on Ubisoft+, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via the Ubisoft Store, Steam (Steam Deck verified), and the Epic Games Store.
Led by Ubisoft Singapore, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Rethinked is a remake of the 2013 original, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Built from the ground up using the latest Anvil engine, it features enhanced graphics, parrying-focused combat, improved stealth and parkour mechanics, deeper naval combat systems, and new story content.
Set during the Golden Age of Piracy, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Rethinked puts players in the shoes of pirate captain Edward Kenway as he sails the Caribbean. In his pursuit of fame and fortune, he becomes embroiled in the centuries-old conflict between the Assassin Brotherhood and the Order of Knights. Throughout his journey, he will encounter legendary figures such as Blackbeard, Anne Bonny, and Calico Jack.
To celebrate the launch, Ubisoft has released a new version of the iconic E3 2013 trailer for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, reimagined for the new release. Created in collaboration with the artists who worked on the original 'Horizon' trailer, this video showcases the stunning Caribbean landscapes rendered in the latest version of the Anvil engine.
The game also features the timeless score composed by Brian Tyler, including the iconic Black Flag main theme, alongside 22 new tracks composed by Stephen Lukach for the Rethinked version. The original soundtrack for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Rethinked will be released on the 10th.
The Standard Edition of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Rethinked is priced at ₩69k across all platforms, with various other options available, including Deluxe and Collector's Editions.
