Hotta Studio, a subsidiary of Perfect World, announced on the 8th that it has released a major 1.2 update for its supernatural urban open world RPG, 'Neverness to Everness' (NTE).

The 1.2 version, '999-Day Night Tale,' officially launched on the 8th, featuring the highly anticipated character Xinku, with Iloy also scheduled to appear sequentially. The update introduces a variety of new content, including 19 highly requested new costumes and the permanent board game mode, '999-Day Night Tale.

Alongside the update, the limited-time board 'Dawn's Break' for the S-Rank character Xinku has opened. Players can obtain a limited glider, limited livery, and a new costume for Xinku through this board. Additionally, a new fantasy-themed mount, 'Draco,' has been added, offering special synergy with the 'Dragon Hunter' costume.

Xinku, a member of the Paranormal Management Bureau's Containment Team 2, utilizes two distinct combat and movement modes. Upon entering the 'Crimson Flame Liberation' state, she switches to a new mode, dealing high-power Light-attribute ability damage with overwhelming force. She also possesses traits that increase movement speed and climbing speed in the open world, making exploration more convenient. Simultaneously, the limited research recruitment event 'Resolution' has begun, featuring an increased drop rate for the limited S-Rank Arc, 'Mirage of Red Flame.

The highlight of this update is the new permanent content, '999-Day Night Tale.' Featuring a structure where story and gameplay progress simultaneously, this narrative takes players—alongside Mint, Iloy, and Xinku—to the Warren Continent, a fantasy land created by a board game. Players will explore various regions, conquer monsters, and challenge the final boss, the Red Dragon. During the adventure, some equipment changes are reflected in real-time on the character's appearance, and a dyeing feature has been added to the corresponding costume series, allowing for personalized styling.

Furthermore, in the latter half of the version, players will be able to encounter the S-Rank character Iloy through the 'Lifeline' limited board. A variety of other content, including the 'Bang Bang Bang' auction event, the 'Thrilling Hide-and-Seek' event, and the new 'Fishing Operation' content, will be updated sequentially to provide users with a richer gameplay experience.
