Nexon announced on the 15th that it released 'DEAR MY HERO,' a theatrical animation based on its popular online game MapleStory, at Lotte Cinema locations nationwide on the 14th.

DEAR MY HERO' tells the story of Aidan, a new recruit to the Cygnus Knights. The film follows Aidan, who joins the order out of admiration for the hero known as the Adversary, as he faces his own limitations on the harsh battlefield and eventually finds his own path. The film has a runtime of 32 minutes and is rated for ages 12 and up. Tickets are priced at ₩5k and can be reserved via the official Lotte Cinema website and mobile application.

Previously, Nexon released a music video teaser for the film's OST, 'We are the Light,' featuring singer Kangnam. The video, which combines key scenes from the animation with lyrics that tell the story, is available on the official 'MAPLE ATTACK! with LOTTE' website and the official MapleStory YouTube channel.

Various events are being held to commemorate the release. Viewers can receive special gifts on a first-come, first-served basis by presenting their ticket at Lotte Cinema box offices or concession stands on the day of their screening. A special 'DEAR MY HERO' art card will be available until June 27, with additional weekly perks to be announced on the official MapleStory and Lotte Cinema websites. Additionally, a coupon for in-game items, including a Cygnus Knights outfit and a 'DEAR MY HERO' medal, will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the screening period.

Combo sets featuring popcorn, drinks, and a figure keycap keychain will be sold at theaters while supplies last, with the keycap keychains also available for purchase online via the Lotte Cinema Naver Smart Store. Furthermore, a special 'DEAR MY HERO' photo zone will operate on the 5th floor of Lotte Cinema World Tower until June 21, and four special photo frames will be available at 'Film Hanjan' booths in select Lotte Cinema locations (World Tower, Konkuk University, Cheongnyangni, Suwon, and Pyeongchon) until July 12.

Additionally, a large-scale statue exhibition featuring Aeon Darmore, the Transcendent of Grandis, and the Eight Apostles will be held at the Cine Park on the 7th floor of Lotte Cinema World Tower until July 12. A 'DEAR MY HERO'-themed cinema store will also offer various merchandise, including adventurer figures, Cygnus Knights cloaks, animation postcard books, original art postcards, Apostle diorama acrylic stands, and Apostle mini cushion keychains. Customers who spend a certain amount at the store will receive a Pink Bean fan and a reusable bag on a first-come, first-served basis. Those presenting a same-day receipt from the cinema store can also receive a 20% discount on drinks at the Gong Cha located on the 7th floor of Lotte Cinema World Tower, along with a 'DEAR MY HERO' cup sleeve.
